In this workshop we explore:

 

  • surfaces 

  • wet-in-wet / dry-in-wet painting

  • resist and lifting out

  • adding ink accents 

  • pattern and effects

 

There will be time to try each technique then apply your favourites to your own composition. 

 

You will create:

 

  • technique sheet

  • surface experiments

  • mini compositions

We notice the colours we are drawn to and mix colour palettes for our compositions.

The workshop will begin with a brief wander of the grounds, taking photos (on our own devices) of features and colours that we are drawn to. We then spend a couple of hours exploring colour in the studio.
